The other day I passed a penny on the ground at the grocery store. I always pick up pennies off the ground because let’s face it, ‘a penny saved is a penny earned’. Thank you, Benjamin Franklin. However, this time I couldn’t pick it up because my hands were full of grocery bags.
It made me wonder if sometimes God is trying to give us something really good, but our hands are too full of other things to accept it.
Love this post!! How true it is. Really made me pause for a moment and consider all the times my hands (or mind) have been too full to appreciate what is around me and take it all in. Thanks for that food for thought.
This reminds me of a “pennies from heaven” story. My friend’s mother passed on. Since then, from time to time, pennies appear in her path at the oddest spots. Pennies appear in places and she knows the pennies were not in that spot an hour before i.e., in her home with only her home. God always reminds us he is near!
Thanks for such a timely post. I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed and occupied with the changes in my life right now. Thanks for helping me stop my pity party and appreciate all the good in my life!
I think this is an awesome post, and couldn’t come at a better time for me :). I have been “too full” of earthly things for the last year and when I finally let go and let God He has shown me His abundance of blessings :). I got baptised this past Sunday, and I’m just feeling like a whole new person!

Wow, so simple but yet so on the spot!
