A day in review…

May 28, 2009/kids
I hate laundry. It’s not really that I hate it, it’s just that it never gets crossed off my list and I’m a list person. Love, love, love to finish something. Unfortunately, on days like today when I did every stitch of laundry including towels and bath mats (ok, not the sheets), there is new laundry since the girls just took baths and Henry came home from work. Ugh!

Ok, now that I have that off my chest, on to more important matters….
We had a great day in the Marquiss house. Mommy was incredibly balanced engaging each of her children in purposeful ways, crossing off long-term projects from the long-term list (like a 13 yr. old project), and short-term projects off the daily list. And, taking time for herself and her hubby by doing her P90X workout this morning at the crack of 6:45 a.m. 🙂  This probably means tomorrow will be low-key, but that’s ok. I accomplished enough today for all week.
Here are some pics of the last few days:
I put Natalie in time out today for being mean to Ainsley. This is how I found them when I came to tell Natalie time out was over.

Natalie telling me she doesn’t want to smile.

Outside at Grandma’s playing school. Neither wanted to be told what to do, so they are both teachers. Natalie was in charge of the “girls” and Ainsley was in charge of the “boys”.

And boy, what a difference 3 months make… (he still has his feeding tube – I took it out for the pics)

OK I totally agree with you, I HATE laundry, it’s the never ending chore that never goes away. I always leave it until I absolutely have to do it and then I’m overwhelmed. And some how 6 people seem to use the same amount of towels as a small hotel. Not sure how that happens when my kids don’t take a bath everyday. OK enough complaining. I love the fact that the girls sat in time out together how cute was that. The pictures are adorable.

Laundry is a hated chore and a never ending process. I agree with Michelle that my family of 7 seems to also make enough laundry as a hotel.
Your girls are cute as always. I think cuteness runs in the family. But maybe I am a bit biased. Your son is soooo handsome. will that be a picture that is given to family members like sisters?? I will be checking my mailbox.

Okay, I am strange but I love laundru day. It keeps me home! I only do it twice a week. I am very scheduled about it, Tuesdays and Fridays during baseball season. The past week I have been overwhelemed with since I am not feeling well but when I am well I don’t mind it. I love clean clothes but especially towles and sheets!
The pictures of Ryan are amazing! WOW! He has come so far… such an absolute miracle.

I guess I’m strange too because I love doing laundry. It’s the only household chore I enjoy. Sometimes I think it would be a good job for me. People could drop off their laundry in the morning and pick it up clean and folded at the end of the day.

I am so with you on the laundry thing. There’s nothing more frustrating than thinking working so hard to get everything clean and be thinking that your done only to have the hamper halfway full again at the end of the day!
On another note, the picture of the girls was so cute. My kids do the same thing sometimes…kinda takes the whole point of the punishment away! lol It’s good that they’re so forgiving though. I should probably take lessons from them sometimes.:-) Hope things are going good for ya’ll and that you have a great day!

My husband and I pray for Ryan all of the time, and for the rest of you too! ((Smile))

Ryan sure looks healthy in his cute 3 month picture with his little fingers in his mouth. I want to just reach in and pick him up!

I know people that like doing laundry but I am not one of them, so I hear ya.

But I have to admit I like the feeling I get when it is all done and finally put away.

Ok,..this is all for now,…just wanted you to know that the prayers are still goin’ up on your behalf.

    AMEN!!! Laundry stinks!!!
I was just telling Karl last week, how it makes me crazy to wash the same clothes over and over again!

I love that Ryan has his fingers in his mouth, just like his sisters do! He is getting SO big!!

Ryan is soooo cute! I’ve briefly read over your post and will be praying for his upcoming surgery!
I go to church with your sister, Johanna and have been praying for the baby and your family.
