The house is quiet except for the rattling of dryer balls. I worked out, the girls’ lunches are made, Ryan’s 8 o’clock meds are drawn up and waiting, and I’m eating left-over oatmeal. Can it get better than that?
My day always starts better when I’m up before my family.
There hasn’t been much time for reflection in the last few weeks. With Henry off work and my crazy ‘fun’ schedule, we’ve been on the run. But it’s been a blast. There are things in my mind I need to process. Good things. Hard things. They are tumbling around just like my dryer balls and one of these days soon I’ll take out a paper and pen and jot some things down.
Until then, we are back into the swing of work schedules, school and therapy sessions for the boy. So it’s off to wake everyone up…
My days work better when I get up and have some time for myself before I am to tired to at the end of the day. I like to get into the word of God, it tends to set the tone of my day and I like it that way.
I giggled at the “The boy” comment. We did not realize how often we called one of the boys “the boy” until Savannah started calling her brothers “The boy” (are we going to pick up “the boy” yet).. LOL
Good morning Leighann, Sounds like you are off to a good start this morning!
We use those dryer balls too, so I had to laugh when I read that. They are noisy. (:>)
I woke up at 3:30 with allergy issues and just got up and took my antihistamine and grabbed a box of tissues and got on the computer. I’m listening to worship songs on i~tunes and just praising God…and it feels good to dwell on Him and try to forget my pain!
Kudos to you for working out and getting your day off right. You are such a trooper!
Hope Ryan is doing much better. Was it a 24 hr. bug he had? I admire you so much for how you just keep on keepin on. That’s what mommies do I know,…but I just wanted to say…you are amazing!
The worst part of my Christmas break was my 2 yo waking up at 5:30 AM. Not because it was so.painfully.early. but because I didn’t have any time to myself before he got up! My day is completely different if I have just a half hour at the beginning that is all mine!! I completely understand!
