God is Love
John 3:16 For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
Activity: Take a dollar bill (the higher the denomination the better). Hold it up and ask the kids if they want it. Crumple it up, stomp on it, fold the corners down. Make it as undesirable looking as possible.
Ask again…. who wants this?
Explain that no matter what we’ve done, God still loves us and finds value in us because we are His creation. There’s nothing we can do to make God love us more and there’s nothing we can do to make God love us less. No matter what we’ve done, Jesus still came to earth to die for our sins. We can find forgiveness and peace when we accept Jesus as our Savior. And it’s all because of God’s love.
