We are hosting Thanksgiving this year… for both families, which means 40 people coming through our home throughout that weekend. Call us crazy, but we love a good party!

With the thought that everyone’s coming I’m inspired to get some items crossed off the home project list. This week I’m working on painting Ryan’s room. Really I wanted to hang his curtains. With all the pinterest pics and DIY blogs it makes one want to go out and buy all new stuff. I decided I’m using what I have instead. I think I have the perfect ones. However the room needs painted and I’m thinking it’s better to paint before I hang the curtains. So out came the brushes and rollers.

While cleaning the garage over the weekend I found some white paint from the former owners which will work on the walls. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough for two coats. And the room needs two coats. So I’m off to the store this morning for another gallon. So much for trying to save money by using the paint that was here.

The good news is that I’ve decided to put the baby in with Ryan so it means our nursery is now painted. The crib we gave away is supposedly making its way back to us soon so the baby is well on her way to having a room.

This week went fast. The girls started selling nuts, candy and magazine subscriptions for their fall Girl Scout fundraiser so we were out two nights selling door-to-door. They’re so excited to meet their sales goals!   We took a break last night to watch the Pirates’ playoff game. Sadly they lost, but the Pens redeemed the night by shutting down the New Jersey Devils 3-0.

Okie dokie, now that you have the low down on Pittsburgh sports go and have a great weekend!  We’ll be busy with soccer, socializing, and selling Magnuts!
