In the News…

December 2, 2011/Ryan
UPDATE: LINK FOR NEWSPAPER ARTICLE AND VIDEO, CLICK HERE.

Um, I blinked and it’s suddenly December!! I was without my computer Monday until Thursday morning (had a few posts pre-set) so I have a lot of catching up to do. But today, I have some big news… no pun intended! Our family will be featured on the front page of the Pittsburgh Trib this Sunday, Dec. 4 and again on Monday, Dec. 5. They rarely do a two-part series, but the editors thought Ryan being the first survivor of his combination of defects is worthy of two days!! We’ve been working on the article since the end of August, and by ‘we’ I mean them… Chris the reporter and Andy the photographer.

You might remember we met Andy in a local park before we settled on our house. Out of all the families playing that day he walked up to me and asked if he could take pictures of my kids. One thing led to another and the rest is history.
I’ll try to get a link up for the article (there will be an online version, a photo gallery, and a video) as soon as I can. And don’t worry, Papa, I’ll get you a hard copy of the paper. You too, mom, and Pop and Marmi.
For the rest of you, I hope you have a great weekend. It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas around our house.

Just read this for the first time. Andy was certainly placed there in the park at just the right time to learn about Ryan and to share his story! Our God is so awesome!
Things like this increase people’s faith!

    God works in mysterious ways!

    Love you!
