There’s no place like home.

December 12, 2011/Pittsburgh
I watched Tangled a total of 10 times in 6 days. I can quote the lines now. Not that I want to, but much like London Bridges Falling Down, some of them are catchy and stick in your head…. “I want you to know this is the strangest thing I’ve ever done.” If you don’t know what I’m talking about then watch the movie. It’s cute. The first time. Okay and the second time too. After that it’s pretty much overkill.
We also watched Yogi Bear a few times. Not as funny (IMHO) or as catchy. But hey, a little variety never killed anybody.
Enough about me. The real thing you want to know is how Ryan’s doing.
I’m happy to tell you he’s recovering. And as of 3:00 today, he’s recovering at home. The oxygen equipment is on its way. We walked into a house that needs it’s floors swept, laundry piled in the bathroom (and some clean on the kitchen table), a smelly cat’s box and nothing for dinner. Yep, we found the right place…. there’s no place like home.
I’ll leave you with a fun fact. We somehow ended up in the right place at the right time and met a few guys from the Pittsburgh Penguins. Unfortunately because Ryan has a virus they weren’t allowed in the room, but they stood in the doorway. They didn’t tell me their names (I think I was supposed to know who they were without fanfare) so I’m guessing when I tell you the guys below are who we saw…. I know for a fact Latang and Staal were part of the group, the others I think I recognize. Forgive me if I’m wrong, they had on Santa hats.
And for the record, seeing their cherubic faces, barely old enough to shave, standing in the door made me realize I’m getting old. That, however, is for another post. For now, here are our visitors. (All photos credited to the official Pittsburgh Penguins website)

I am very happy to hear that Ryan is at home. None of my children were in the hospital and my house probably looks worse. Lol! So cool to hear about your visitors!!

So glad you two are home! And also happy that Ryan is feeling better. I have been thinking of him and praying.

Try not to worry about the laundry and stuff sweetie…just “do the next thing” and pretty soon things will feel better around there… and back to normal soon. Yes,…there’s no place like home!

    Love,
    Linda
