This is Ryan’s new wedge. It is made specifically for him so he can have tummy time.
It’s kindof like those pillows you use for pregnancy massages, but his has a cutout for his heart.
He loves it, really.
This is him throwing such a fit that he’s eating the blanket.
It’s over, but he’s still crying. Seriously, dude.
The wedge was delivered last week. I found that if I start him on his back and lay down beside him, then roll him to his side still talking to him, and then flip him to his stomach with me still down on his level he doesn’t cry for the first few minutes. It’s the immediate back to front that he doesn’t like. It’s a totally new sensation. Can you imagine living your whole life on your back and one day being flopped on your tummy?
Karsie has a tummy time mat for her omphalocele… and she hates it too! She has recently figured out a way to avoid using her arms and doing any work! You can see her mat at our blog: karsiegene.blogspot.com
She only recently stopped screaming when we do tummy time. She used to scream and scream the whole time and we would do 5 minutes 2-3 times a day… it was torture on all of us! It will get better 🙂
He is too cute….the look on his face not happy at all,but its so adorable. It will get better for you Ryan it’s all new. Just love the smile,in the last pic it’s just saying “See I like it better this way mommy.”
