Yesterday Henry never made it into the office. He was running a little late so called in to his first meeting. And then his second. Lunch time came and went. He was still on the phone at 4:00 when the girls came home from school. When he got off the phone at 4:30 I said, “What are your plans for tonight?”
“I don’t know,” he said looking intrigued.
“I’m thinking Double Wide Grill up in Cranberry and maybe a park if we have time?”
“Yes,” was his simple response.
Going out to eat on a weeknight is an extremely rare occasion for us. It was fun to throw caution to the wind (who needs to practice piano?) and not worry that it was a school night. So we told the kids to grab tennis shoes and go potty.
“Why?” Natalie said as if she were in trouble.
“We’re going out to eat!” I said enthusiastically.
“To a restaurant?” Ryan asked.
“Yep, to a restaurant.” I said.
“I wuv restaurants,” he said. (he wuvs everything right now)
So we loaded up the wagon and we moved to Beverly drove up the road a few minutes to a place we’ve heard great things about….. The Double Wide Grill. It’s the only place in Pittsburgh that serves vegan entrees alongside pulled pork and bbq brisket.

We have been wanting to try it! But with a 4 year old and 1.5 year old anything besides Chic fila gets crossed off the list for lack of play area LOL!! You have to live pretty close to us we only live like 20ish minutes from Cranberry!
