Natalie came home on Weds. terribly excited. “Mom,” she gasped. “I have homework!” The last word was a shrill scream. “You do?” I asked excitedly. “Yes!” she squealed. “Finally!”
We’ve both been waiting for some real homework. Not the kindergarten kind, but the real deal first grade stuff.
She opened up her book bag and right away began doing her math.
The teacher had sent home 10 dominoes for the kids to recreate and then add together. It was a cute assignment. Natalie really enjoyed it. And I enjoyed watching her do her work.
LOL! You’ll have to remind her of this when she hits high school and she does nothing afterschool but homework, shower, dinner and MAYBE if she has time her chores. Weeee…

Had to laugh! Unfortunately, the thrill of having homework wears off all too quickly….
