I’ve lost count at this point and am too tired to go back and search, but I think this is my 8th Stitch Fix. It arrived Monday afternoon on my door step. I’d been on the lookout all day since getting my shipping notification Friday saying it was on it’s way.
I’m telling you. Getting a Stitch Fix is like Christmas. You know a present is coming, but you have no idea what it is. The best part is your stylist has all your sizes, color and style preferences, and price point. It’s freakin’ awesome!
I have a stylist I’ve been trying out and requested again this time. She did a really good job so I’m excited to hear what you guys have to say. I requested Spring items since I haven’t really purchased Spring/Summer stuff since before I was pregnant with Piper.
First is this striped Kahlo Knit Top from THML. I love the stripes, I love the pop of color, and I love the asymmetric aspect of it. It’s a definite keeper to wear with my white jeans.
Second is the Diaz Embroidery & Crochet Detail Cotton top from Brixon Ivy. This is one of those shirts you want to love, but really you’re just meh about. It’s actually really pretty, but I don’t think it does much for me. I’m holding steady for my “I have to love it to buy it” rule and it doesn’t apply here. Like I said, I like it, but I think I can do better.
Third, is a Uruguay Pintuck Detail top from Skies are Blue. I’m gonna be honest. I am not the most photogenic and this looks a ton better in person!! It’s also going to be paired with my white jeans and a necklace. Definitely needs a necklace.
Speaking of necklace, the fourth item is this Rowena Leaf Pendant from Bay to Baubles in antique silver. It looks like a fish in the picture, but it’s a leaf, don’t worry. It isn’t quite my style so I’m sending it back along with this dress. My friend loved the dress, I was ambivalent (I don’t tend to love myself in dresses), and Henry hated the pattern. So there you go, if the hubby hates something I’d purchase for date night, it doesn’t make the cut. I’d like to keep trying dresses because I think the more I wear them, the more I’ll be comfortable in them, but I’m such a hard person to pick for…. sorry, Catherine!
Okay, you know how I feel about everything… tell me what you think. Do you agree, disagree?
Also, I love shopping with you guys, I really do…. but sometimes I wish I could see something you’re buying! Anyone want to get a Stitch Fix in May and then send me photos? We could do links in the comments, or you could Instagram the outfits if you’re on there, or you could FB them???? Just throwing it out there to see if anyone is interested. If we time it right, we could all get them around the same time and make it a shopping party. Let me know below…click on the Stitch Fix link to get started. (did you know you can request an item you see here by mentioning the name in your fix notes? Stitch Fix will accommodate the request if they have it still in your size!)

love all your choices and that dress style looks really nice on you. if you were any more photogenic we could not stand it ~ you are far prettier inside and out than I think you know! Have a great day. Becky
I actually love the second shirt on you (the embroidery, ivory colored one). It’s a very stunning cut. The color is a little bland, but I think that with a really chunky, colorful necklace it would look really cute. Or a colorful cropped sweater would really add the color I think it needs. But it’s a great “builder!” Your other choices, I agree with. How fun!
I really like the second top (white) too! My first shipment is scheduled for mid May…can’t wait to see what they send!
I think they all look great on you, except the first one. I’m not sure what it is, but it doesn’t flatter you at all. Makes you look frumpy.
I think the dress is super flattering and hopefully your stylist can find something similar in a different color. A solid color would last a little longer because it would make it through trends as long as you switched up accessories. 🙂
