I rescued a baby sock from the washer last night. It was lying on the rim of the inner wash tub just waiting to fall off the edge into the outer tub and be swept out with the water into the abyss. My mother said this is where socks disappear to and I didn’t believe her until I saw it for myself. Aaagghhh! Does this mean she’s right about everything else too?
What did your mom tell you when you were young that turned out to be true??
On that note, I better uncross my eyes or they may get stuck in this position!
I’ve never heard that one before! My mom swears by Vitamin C as if it’s as great as the discovery of penicillin! But I’m starting to believe her. I find myself taking extra everytime I feel a little sniffle coming on!
MY MOM used to say “I can never have nice stuff with you kids in the house.” I’m starting to think that is true. And I would frequently hear her say “I’m never going shopping with you kids again.” Funny thing, we ended up going shopping with her AGAIN! But much to my dismay, I find myself wishing the same thing. I never heard about the sock thing. I wondered why I have sooooo many unmatched socks. Can’t wait til Ryan comes home. Praying for him everyday. Love you all lots!
I can’t think of anything right now…but I am sure I will and Ill come back and post it then..
Thinking about you guys and my boyfriend…. but dont tell Stellan that Ryan is my boyfriend too, I can’t have them two fighting over me when they are bigger and healthy. 🙂
How lucky you were to catch one in the act of disappearing! Good save!
My mom used to always remind us to turn off the lights. “You wouldn’t leave those lights on if you had to pay the light/water bill!!” Now I am always reminding my son to turn off the light when he leaves the room. Wonder if he’s old enough to understand about the bill?

Hee hee, that was cute. 🙂 Mom’s ARE right MOST of the time. ha!
Yeah, my eyes would definitely be stuck by now after all the gazillion times I crossed my eyes through the years.
I think of baby Ryan and your family often. I’m so glad that things are continuing to go well – no news is good news!

wow, I am going to have to check this out… I didn’t know that. Wow!
That’s why I wash baby socks in a lingerie bag now – I caught one in the middle of it’s disappearing act too!
And now that you are the MOM – do you feel the burden of being right? Oh, I meant responsibilities.
