Happy Easter!! By now you are ready to celebrate!
On Resurrection morning, open the oven and give everyone a cookie! Notice the cracked surface and take a bite. The cookies are hollow! On the first Resurrection Day, Jesus’ followers were amazed to find the tomb open and empty. (Read Matthew 28: 1-9)
He has risen! Hallelujah!
Celebrate as a family by going to church to worship the ONE who gave His life for you and rose so that you might live eternally with Him. Spend the afternoon in JOY experiencing the freedom we have in Christ. If you are doing an Easter egg hunt, tell the kids the eggs are like the gospel, when you open them up there’s a free gift!
I hope you and your family enjoyed this 40-day journey. It was so sweet a time for our family I don’t want it to end. The great thing is it doesn’t have to. Continue teaching your children about the good news of the gospel. There are many great resources out there. And most of all, don’t forget how much Jesus loves YOU!
