Ryan has a rough night last night and as a result the CICU attending called today to tell us they put a nose tube vent on Ryan this afternoon. This tube goes into his nose (the nasal cannula used for high flow sits right inside his nostrils) but not down into his trachea (an ET tube goes into the trachea). So, he is basically on the ventilator without being on a ventilator. I know, it doesn’t make a ton of sense, but it does make a difference for his little body. It’s sortof in between extubation and intubation.
So, please pray his little body would do what it needs to in order to come off the nasal tube.
Been a little out of the loop since Friday so I just now saw this, but I’ve been praying for ya’ll and will continue to do so! (just a little more specifically now) Hope things get better soon.

Prayers going up!
Praying that he is off of it soon!
Praying that this is just a temporary setback in his recuperation. He’s such a strong little boy and he has God watching over him.
