Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

December 19, 2009/Family
Okay, so whoever prayed for snow you can stop now!!  The snow started last night around 8:30 and has kept coming down since. It is supposed to keep coming until 3 in the morning on Sunday. Goodness gracious!
(almost 12″ at 2:30 p.m.)
I like snow. I think it’s pretty. It’s cozy and makes the world quiet. I like the sound of boots crunching and the smell of snow – which is really the smell of fires burning in fireplaces and woodstoves.
I hate being cold though so my time in the snow is short-lived. I’m more of a casual observer than a participant when it comes to snow activities. I shoveled the walk at about 2 this morning, then again at 10 a.m.  By 2:30 p.m. you couldn’t even tell I had done anything. Henry and the girls set about doing the third round.
Even the princess helped!
They got the walk, driveway and some of the pipe stem (a long driveway that multiple houses are on) done. Henry finally called it a day and decided to take the Jeep to the grocery store for some goodies (can anyone say apple cider and peanut butter cookies?).
I thought for sure he would get stuck in the foot of unplowed snow. He didn’t. I love my car and days like this make me love it even more.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some cookies and milk to attend to.

seriously… I would love to go see some people and I can’t if I’m snowed in… although it’s kind of nice.

I know what you mean! I started here in Martinsburg around 10:30 last night and just stopped a little bit ago.
From what I understand though it’s suppose to start back around midnight.
