You almost had me. Seriously. You started off in a bad way….. with the girls waking so early that Ainsley asked, “Is it the middle of the night, mommy?” With me feeling defeated because I couldn’t get my rear in gear before the sun poked its head out from under the horizon. With me all in a tizzy because my car was undriveable due to a rusty hood cable.
You continued your threats by giving me a cranky little girl this morning, times two, when I dropped Ainsley and her friend off at preschool. And when my little blonde came home in a funk and wouldn’t crack a smile until I pulled out the tickle monster.
But I won. I decided I would be happy even if no one else was. I would be excited to see every single one of my family members, even if they were cranky. And frankly, when they saw what a great time I was having, they decided they were happy too.
So take that, first Monday. And ask yourself, do you feel lucky?
I feel very lucky. Even with the migraines, and lack of sleep, I feel lucky. And I think of how awesome God is in regards to Ryan, and I feel lucky that He is my God too.
