Y’all, I went and shrunk my pants. True Story. When I was eating paleo I was throwing all my jeans in the dryer because of the weight I lost around my waist – that’s where those carb fat cells sit. Right on the waist to helpfully hold up your pants. So I was having trouble keeping my pants on. Some people would buy a belt. Not me, I just tightened up my pants every week in the dryer. Worked like a charm.
I’ve been off paleo a few weeks now and went to put on a pair of denim capris yesterday. Do you know they were so shrunken my waist felt like it was tucked a little too much and I hate to say it, but my thighs weren’t the most comfortable either. Seems like a few of those carb cells worked their way downward. But you would’ve been proud. I wore them all afternoon while hosting a cookout with neighbors. I didn’t complain once. I just smiled and ignored the fact that I was walking around with the halting gait of the Tin Man.
I’ll tell you what… I was relieved to finally peel those capris off before bed. I’ve never been so happy to put my loose pajama pants on and crawl into bed.
The End.

I love how you always find joy in every situation. Have a great day. You had me laughing out loud on this one – been there and done that too! Becky
No paleo any more?? Does a person take breaks then go back? Just curious…
I supposed people do it however they choose. Some people do it for the rest of their life… like being a vegetarian. I have found it necessary in the last few weeks to eat carbs. I noticed I don’t feel the greatest when I eat them, so I’m still limiting them.
I am starting YPG Yogo and I am excited to find where it will take me.
I hate that you shrunk your pants! I put my jeans in mom’s dryer recently, which is apparently hotter than mine, and now have a similar experience until my movement stretches them out.
man, how did I miss a whole week of you blogging… dang… Sorry about your pants! haha and also super cute story by ainsley and adorable picture of ainsley and Ryan. (okay super long run-on sentence can stop) haha love you!
Ha! Congratulations on your baby announcement.
Ha! “honey, I shrunk my pants”….turns out, not so much shrunk the pants 🙂
What a wonderful blessing, your unexpected news.
Ha! The pants really were shrunken in the dryer. I’m hoping they stretch out and I can wear them a few more weeks. They were even tight around my calves which I don’t think have gained any weight. 🙂
