Yes, you can hate me. And, yes, you can hit me next time you see me if you like (just not with your car, please). I usually wait until Christmas Eve to wrap all the Christmas presents. It’s not only stressful, but makes my back and legs ache. This year, I read in a magazine, probably Real Simple or Martha Stewart Living because they seem to have all the good ideas no one could ever accomplish, a suggestion to wrap presents as you buy them instead of waiting for one big session. I decided to see how it would work out so I wrapped last Saturday and tonight after my shopping excursions. We basically have about 5 or less items to buy yet and they are all that need wrapping. Could it get any better?
Oh, they also suggested color coordinating your packages according to which get together they should travel to so you didn’t have to sort them last minute. This is not something I did, nor tried to do. Maybe next year. However, I think sorting them as you go and grouping them in shopping bags works just as well. Besides, that would entail me having to preplan all my wrapping paper according to how many presents and how many feet of packaging was going to said locations. Hello? Someone has too much time on their hands.
Happy wrapping!
