We’re home. Digging ourselves out of a mountain of laundry, but home. Today Henry headed back to work, the girls to school and me to a house in need of a good cleaning. Yep, real life.
But first, a little catching up with vacation photos. Tuesday we headed to Cozumel for the day. This is our second time to Playa del Carmen and our second time to Cozumel. It’s a little relaxed island about a 30 minute ferry ride from Playa.

We stopped at the same little restaurant where we ate last time. The fish tacos are yummy and there’s a set of swings the kids can play on. This is Ainsley ignoring me calling for her to look at the camera.

The beach directly down the steps from the restaurant. It’s pretty rocky so I can’t imagine anyone actually swimming in this area, but it’s pretty and a nice place to collect shells while you wait for lunch.

After lunch we headed to a protected inlet where Natalie and I searched for shells in the shallow water and Ainsley and Ryan built sandcastles.
After an hour or so of fun, Ryan was ready for a nap on the beach.
I forgot to take a big group shot in the beginning and at the end of the day we had a problem with one of the scooters so we ended up returning the vehicles separately. This is the only shot I have of us with the car. The kids like riding in a car with no roof. For us adult drivers, it’s always fun to see how responsive the brakes are and not have any power steering!!
That was our day in Cozumel. We walked away unscathed and surprisingly with little sunburn.

Sounds like a great vacation! I love it that Ryan got to take a nap in the hammock! I love the beach pictures. Makes me homesick for the ocean!
