Henry and I were talking calendar issues last night while I swept the kitchen and he drank tea, and I just realized how ultra-glamorous my life is and how jealous you must be… but moving on.
We were talking schedules and the topic of Thanksgiving came up. As in, it is in the foreseeable future and it’s time to be discussed so we are all on the same page and we know what day we’ll be packing our bags and getting in the car – it’s that close people – and OMGsh, we are so boring!
So we were talking about Thanksgiving and how we’ll be driving to the parents’ houses this year instead of hosting and it hit me that we are almost at Piper’s first birthday. HER FIRST BIRTHDAY! I actually stopped sweeping and looked at my husband and said, “Oh my gosh, we had a baby almost a year ago. We were hosting Thanksgiving and then the next Monday having a baby…. ” It’s almost here….
I may have had a slight heart attack before sweeping again. Where in the heck did the last year go?
I’m telling you this because, HELLO?, I do not want you to be blindsided by the fact that Thanksgiving is 4 weeks from this Thursday and Christmas isn’t too far behind that. It’s time to gear up for the holidays, people. Get ready….
