Stitch Fix : Help me choose!

Stitch Fix

Hey guys! Look what showed up on my doorstep the other day.  With all the election hubbub, how about a little fun voting for a change?

Believe it or not, my Stitch Fix posts remain some of my most popular posts. I can’t decide if it’s because women like to shop in packs or if they like giving their opinion!  Either way, I can’t wait to see what you have to say.

First up is this Bonay Fringe Detail Cardigan by Central Park West.  I’m leaning toward keeping this one because I’m living in sweaters this year and Pittsburgh can be rather chilly all the way through April. I love heather grey and the sweater I own in this color has holes it’s been worn so much. Time to replace it. It’s a little out of my comfort zone price wise, but I have some credits I can use AND it’s done. I don’t have to go shopping to find something similar. I love the fringe detail and it goes great with my pleather pants. stitchfix1

Next up are these light blue Emer Printed Straight Leg Pant. In this picture they look like a solid, but they actually have a super cute subtle, geometric, floral pattern. (Say that five times fast!) I own nothing like these and it’s a great step out the box.

Number three is this teal green Lawton Braided Neckline Blouse by Papermoon. Super cute, but silky. And I’m not a big fan of silky. It makes me sweat and I’m already a sweat-er… as in ‘one who sweats’ not as in cardigan. However, I absolutely love the color. It may just be my most favorite color in the universe.

My stylist sent me a dress as I requested – this cute little peach Olley Knit Dress by Pixley. My skin is pinky-peach so I’m hoping with a little sun, this will stand out a little more. I like that’s it’s not my same old, same old grey, black, or white and the herringbone pattern is timeless. Super cute. I’m pretty sure this is when my friend Sarah was laughing so hard because she confessed she was laughing at my awkward photo poses so I joined her.

I was sick of propping my hands on my hips so for this Navy Jes Keyhole Blouse by Fun2Fun I struck a pose. Pretty sure Madonna will not claim me at all. And that’s perfectly fine with me. I’m torn with this one – – it’s made out of 100% rayon. I haven’t had great luck with rayon in the last few months. I do like that it’s a nice shirt for going to lunch with a friend or meeting with a client. Not too dressy and not too casual. I also think it would be really cute with white jeans.

So there it is – – my choices for this Stitch Fix box. What do guys think I should keep or send back? I always love hearing your honest opinions and seeing what other people think of the clothes.

Have you tried Stitch Fix yet? You can read How and Why I use Stitch Fix here. Or check out my referral link here and sign up for your own fix. If you’ve never heard of Stitch Fix before, it’s basically a personal shopping subscription box. You fill out a detailed profile, pay a $20 styling fee, and clothes show up on your doorstop. You send back what you don’t want in a prepaid USPS envelope (which is awesome because you can just shove it into your mailbox instead of driving to a special drop off box). If you do end up keeping something – and odds are you will – the $20 styling fee is applied to your balance. Win-win for everyone.

you can wear anything. I love it all except the pants and that is based on my upbringing as we were always told that if it creases it is too tight but since that is now the style they look fine. I truly love the sweater and the dress and all the shirts AND your playful photos. Just file this under “old lady” as I’m sure that is what my granddaughters will do one day.

Love the feedback, Becky. The pants are a stretchy material so it’s hard for them not to crease. I wondered about that, too.

Keep the gray sweater, the dress and the navy blouse. I also like the green silk (or silky) blouse, but since the fabric poses an issue …
Not 100% convinced about the pants.

Adorable pictures! I can really see how much Ryan resembles you.

I love the dark teal silky shirt on you, but I don’t like silk either because of the sweat stain issue. The rayon blouse is also a keeper. Dress is a super cute style on you. Grey sweater works with everything and I like the fringe. As far as the pants…here is my rule, pants either have to be truly skinny (tight all the way to the ankles) or boot cut where they come out at the knee and cover part of your shoe. Pants that are in between the two (like your light blue ones) just don’t work for most people (cuts you off at the ankle and makes you appear shorter than you are). Maybe if you cuffed them and paired it with wedge boots or sandals, they might work.

I love the idea of cuffing the pants and wearing with a wedge boot!

Love, love, love the sweater – it looks so good on you! The rayon shirt is super cute and the teal silky shirt looks awesome on you, but I can understand the sweating issue, for sure!

I’m not feeling the pants for some reason and I can’t quite put my finger on it. I love the dress but wish it wasn’t peach colored as it does make you look a little more pale than you probably really are. But, like you said, some sun on that skin to darken it up a bit and that dress will pop!

I’m thinking keep it all except the pants and the silky shirt. 🙂

Sherrie – I really am that pale! haha! gonna work on my tan…. 🙂 in the meantime, I’ll cover up with the sweater.
