Seven Quick Takes for July 4

July 1, 2011/Seven Quick Takes

Seven easy ways to enjoy the fourth from my surfing this week:

1. Dipped strawberries:
Saw these on pinterest but the original pinner didn’t link to the source. I’m guessing these strawberries are dipped in white chocolate and then dipped wet into blue sprinkles. So fun, fast, and easy!

2. Strawberry Trifle:
Candice at Crafty Sisters shared a recipe for this luscious looking strawberry trifle. Trifles are some of the easiest pretty desserts to make. And they feed a lot of people.

3. Strawberry-Blueberry-Shortcake Ice Cream Sandwiches
Or how about these cold treats brought to you by Southern Living?

4. Watermelon Stars
What could get easier than cutting watermelon into starts. Thanks to Cutest Food for the how-to.

5. Flag Cake
Celebrations at Home brings us this cake that’s a little more time-consuming but sure to impress.

6. July 4th Cake Pops
Katie from My Juice Cup shows several different ways to make cake pops patriotic. You can have lots of fun with these ideas.

7. Red, White and Blue Ice pops
Leave it to Laurie of Tip Junkie to give us an easy, cold patriotic treat perfect for cooling off on a hot summer day.

I made the strawberries for a party yesterday!
I used vanilla almond bark instead of white chocolate! They were a hit!

I made the strawberries and they were very festive. I used almond bark and they were easy to do. Thanks for the idea.
