Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.

Mom and Dad
I have something to say.
Have you decided if I can get my ears pierced?
Yes or No
YES!
Natalie has been asking to get her ears pierced for about a year. We kept stalling because we knew Ainsley would want to do it at the same time. I finally took the girls to get their ears pierced last Thursday morning.
Natalie was extremely nervous but we (the store clerk and I) decided she should go first since Ainsley was acting like she might not be able to go through with it. About the time I put away the camera (it died on this first pic – ugh!) from this before shot, Natalie started squirming in the chair. When Ainsley saw Natalie squirming, she burst into tears. She cried until the we left the store. Natalie on the other hand just squirmed. No crying.

Ainsley cried so much that the store clerk and I decided it best for us to come back when Ainsley was ready AND there were two workers available so we could do both ears at the same time.
Ainsley cried harder when I told her she wasn’t getting her ears pierced on Thursday.
She insisted we go back on Friday.
There weren’t two workers until later in the day. Henry pulled into the driveway right as we were loading up so he came along for the adventure. It was awesome to have him there.

Here’s Ainsley pointing to the Hello Kitty studs she picked out. (camera charged!)
Getting ready in the chair…. she ended up sitting on my lap and holding daddy’s hands while looking into his eyes.
She cried for a good 20 seconds after it was done and then hopped down and jumped for glee that she got it done.
They are doing an awesome job keeping their ears cleaned and earrings twisted.

How exciting! They look soooo pretty! I think it’s great that they have so many studs to choose from now. Back in the day, they only had boring ones. Congrats to the pretty girls!! 🙂

Awww what a memory, I got mine done when I was 7. I had Savannah’s done twice when she was a baby and they fell out both times. Daddy will not let her get them done now…nor will he let Sailor get her’s done…

    Congrats girls!!

Even with the tears and the squirming…they did better than me. Ha! I was such a chicken, I was 25 before I got my ears pierced! Can you believe it? (:>)

Tell them I said they are brave and beautiful in their new earrings!

    Love, Linda

It is amazing how much older they look with the earrings in. I felt the same way with Julia.
