I’m a 30-something stay-at-home-mom who puts her pants on one leg at a time just like you. While I tend to focus on the positive please be assured that my house is a mess, my kids get yelled at and I do not get everything done. I am a documenter by nature and therefore this blog… I want my kids to know how I was feeling about them, about their dad, and about our lives as they were growing up, and this is the easiest way for me to do that.

I’ll be the first to tell you that while I love domestic activities, I am unequivocally not Martha. However, I love learning and trying new things. You’ll see a little of that on here too. I love meeting new people, so please leave a comment to let me know you stopped by!

I stumbled across your website through a friend from Independent Bible. I read everything, but something must be wrong with my computer I couldn’t hear your testimony. I forgot to tell you who I am. I am Tracy Alderman and I discipled Katie for about four years at IBC. We got so attached to your wonderful family. We miss Dean and Amy so much, too. I ‘ll check back on your site later to see if it will work for me again. Blessings!

    Hi –
I just stumbled on your blog. I am also a heart mom to a 6 year old girl who also has HRHS just like your Ryan. She has been through the whole series through the Fontan repair and is now a happy 1st grader. Good luck to you and your little miracle boy! You can do it!

I stumbled across your blog through a link on Fox News..our now 10yr old son was born with Transposition of the Great Arteries..two open hearts and two strokes later he is a happy healthy kid who thoroughly enjoys karate and baseball – even though he’s the only kid who has to wear a chest guard on his baseball team. Many blessings and wishes of a long lifetime of health and happiness to not only your Ryan but your entire family.

Wonderful fighting spirit Ryan! My son Alex was born with a giant omphalocele with his insides born outside, but at 11 the only reminder is his funny belly button. God bless you all.

    Hi
I stumbled across your blog through a link. I was born with a congenital heart defect (VSD), i didn’t have surgery to repair this defect. I found your story really interesting in how you manage on a daily basis with Ryan and his needs.

    Hi Leighann,

It was great meeting you at the gas station in Reston, VA about an hour ago. I don’t think that it was a coincidence. There’s no such thing as luck with GOD. GOD is restoring Ryan’s health completely.

In Matthew chapter 8, verses 5 to 10 and 13 (NKJV), a Roman Centurion asked THE LORD JESUS to speak only a word and his servant would be healed. JESUS did and the centurion’s servant was healed that same hour.

THE LORD JESUS, through the Apostle Peter, already said in 1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV), “by whose stripes you were healed”. JESUS already paid the price for Ryan’s total and complete healing. And now Ryan will be able to leave the hospital before the end of this week because the doctors will give you a miraculous report stating that Ryan is completely well!

Thank you for that simple act of faith of directing me to this blog.

    Enjoy GOD’s blessings, Leighann.
