I’ve had a headache for two straight days now. I’m considering taking an Advil, but made a last ditch effort by drinking an entire glass of water. We’ll see how it works. If it’s not gone when I wake up I’m totally popping a pill.

It’s only Tuesday night and it’s been one heck of a long week. I started doing Yoga at the end of last week after an ENTIRE year without exercising. I pretty much jumped off the bandwagon after Ryan’s hospitalization last December and never managed to crawl back on. I thought I’d start slow with some stretching and posing (and sometimes falling over) before hitting anything heavy like walking around the block. I don’t want to hurt myself. Which btw, has anyone noticed that when you do Yoga everyday if you skip a day you feel all crampy and tight like you’re shrinking into a little ball by not doing any sun salutations and ashtangas?

The fun in all of this is that I get to watch this wee one do his downward dogs on the front of my mat because apparently he doesn’t want to go get his own mat and the carpet isn’t soft enough for his four year old feet.

After Yoga two days last week and then again on Monday, by today he said, “Please don’t exercise. I don’t want to.” He must be his father’s child.

This same child found a dirty spoon on the counter and insisted he wash it in the sink. “I do the dishes,” he said proudly. I think I’ll keep him.

In addition to Yoga, I’ve taken to drinking a cup of hot tea every morning now that I’m not worried about a baby burning themselves. I started back up in the fall. You know it’s bad when you think you’re low on tea with only five kinds in the house (Willa – I’m now down to 3 kinds). I told myself I’m not buying new tea until I run out of what I have. And then I will refill my Chai supply.

The girls’ school had a raffle the other week and we won a grilling basket. It came with this flag.

The kids immediately hung it across the fireplace. I realized they’re going to grow up as Pittsburgh Steeler fans since EVERY SINGLE PERSON who lives here roots for the Steelers. I’m all about local pride, but good grief, if you ever move to the area, don’t ever tell someone you don’t care who wins the game on Sunday. EVER.

We had a Daisy meeting on Monday where we celebrated the Girl Scout organization’s birthday. It was established March 12, 1912. Ryan comes to all our meetings and I’m beginning to think he thinks he’s a Daisy. He’s so much a part of the group the other leader bought him a headband too.

I think he liked the cupcakes best of all.

Last of all, I like the new site. I felt it was time for change after four years. There’s still a few kinks to work out, but I like how clean it feels. Speaking of clean, where’s my son? There are some dishes to be done.

I have taken up dancing again at home. I just crank up the music (hubby hates loud music) and just dance like no one is watching, Sailor loves to dance with me and I have to say baby girl has some rhythm.
I usually have a hot cup of ( PG Tip) tea with creme brulee creamer every morning. But since I had the flu 2 weeks ago dairy really hates me, so its a cup of weak tea for me for awhile.
Ryan is looking so grown these days, my goodness they sure grow so fast. Sailor will be 4 in may.

Love your post today! So funny & cute. I miss your kids, and you, and Henry, but not Taurus. Ok fine, and taurus, a little bit.

I would have to have some sort of caffeinated and decaffinated tea. I do want to work through all my caffeinated tea before I buy more. The same for herbals. Kim brought me so many from Switzerland, and I need to use them up, but my favorite is good old Sleepytime Vanilla.
